I served as a content producer for the second year at Recessland weekend 2026. Additionally, this year my responsibilities also extended into logistics, accreditation and overall people management. I liaised and coordinated across all departments of Recess and directly with AEG throughout pre-production.
I competed staff accreditation for all Recess staff, brand partnership staff and additional teams, catering/ dietary requirements and vehicle registrations. I managed the logistics portion of the budget, researching, booking and managing round trip coaches, staff transport in/ around Margate and accommodation for 60+ staff members. I also scheduled the vans for equipment collection from London and delivery to Margate.
I booked the additional coach down to Margate for myself and the specific staff with pre-production responsibilities on the Friday. During pre-production, I set up the staff production room, checked-staff into commotion, liaised with the onsite build team on progress and decisions on set-up, coordinated, received and unloaded deliveries from London to Margate and ensured all areas concerning content were set-up.
I created the call sheets for the weekend, coordinated with my colleagues still in London to ensure all remaining staff made it up to Margate on Saturday, escorted all 60+ staff on site, oversaw live onsite accreditation, distribution of catering tokens, correct staff uniforms and got the team over to the main room for the whole staff briefing.
My role was very dynamic and reactive, so I also assisted with show management/ running order during performances on the main stage, liaised with artists and their teams, looked after wider team enquiries and wellbeing, small travel around margate for individual staff assignments, coordinated with the wellbeing team on staff, artist and attendee safety and managed last minute travel, accommodation and accreditation for staff.
During the live event, I oversaw the photo and video team across the entire venue with my main focus at the main stage, managed media capture of artists backstage and on stage and assisted the main stage media team by producing and serving as the Vox pop and interview host for the social videos/ sound bites captured.
I also coordinated photo and video uploads to the team drive post-event and created photo selections for brands, PR, publications and upload to the Recess social media.
